Okay, let’s see if I can get back on track this time around after my worst week ever last week. On the year, I am 54-47-2 (.530).

Pickings games is very hard to do. College football can be so unpredictable. Just look at that Clemson game last night. Who knew?
I’m feeling a bit under the weather, so no humor in these picks. Better put my game face on so I can get back on track anyway…
Northern Illinois at Iowa (48 points)–I like the UNDER in this game. Drew Tate is apparently out for this one, so I think the Hawkeyes will play it fairly conservative. NIU has had trouble scoring as well of late.
Notre Dame (-13) at Navy–Being an ex-squid, I am loth to pick against the Middies, but I think that the Irish will get on a roll in this game and win going away. Notre Dame 37, Navy 17.
Maryland (+4) vs. Florida State–The Seminoles are reeling and the rest of the ACC teams are rarin’ to get their licks in at last. Maryland has been playing well lately and the Terps will be ready. I think FSU ekes out a close one, but fails to cover. Florida State 20, Maryland 17.
Texas (-10.5) at Texas Tech–The second-straight road game for the Longhorns, but Colt McCoy is now tested and this game shouldn’t be a problem. Texas usually handles Tech’s passing attack and this year should be no different. Texas 31, Texas Tech 13.
Ohio State (-27) vs. Minnesota–The Buckeyes have been very good against the spread this year and I like them to cover this one easily. Minnesota is a mess on offense and won’t be able to stop Ohio State’s stable of offensive weapons. Ohio State 48, Minnesota 14.
Tennessee (-3) at South Carolina–Tennesse just has too much firepower for the Gamecocks to handle. I like the Vols to cover this one easily. Tennessee 27, South Carolina 17.
Oregon State (+10.5) vs. USC–The Trojans have struggled a bit lately in Corvallis and the Beavers are playing well right now, so expect this to be another close game, if not a potential upset. USC 24, Oregon State 17.
Arizona State (-1.5) at Washington–Week two with a replacement quarterback is usually when things really fall apart and I expect this to be the case for Washington. Arizona State 28, Washington 10.
Alabama (-35) vs. Florida International–FIU is taking only 56 players to Tuscaloosa and starting seven freshmen to boot (HT: The Wiz). So I will go with the Tide. Alabama 45, FIU 3.
New Mexico State at Nevada (64.5 points)–I like the OVER in this one.
San Jose State (-9) vs. Louisiana Tech–I’ve done well picking the Spartans this year, though last week they didn’t come through. They’ll do well at home this week. San Jose State 31, Louisiana Tech 17.
Missouri (-1.5) vs. Oklahoma–I was not impressed with OU’s running back replacement last week. I think Missouri smells a chance to get a rare win over the Sooners and they will indeed get it. Missouri 24, Oklahoma 16.
Washington State (+1.5) at UCLA–Washington State has played one of the toughest schedules in the country and that has paid dividends so far in the second half of the season. The Cougars are simply a tougher team than the Bruins and should win this one. WSU 34, UCLA 24.
Hawaii (-26) vs. Idaho–I like Hawaii to cover at home here. Dennis Erickson will enjoy his Mai Tais. Hawaii 63, Idaho 21.
