I don't see why you can't believe both of the following simultaneously:

1) Sam Bradford will go #1 (or top-5, whatever) in the 2010 NFL Draft. He may not be deserving of such an honor, but a regime change at a bad team usually includes drafting a QB early to be "The Guy."

2) Tim Tebow will be drafted in the 2010 NFL Draft by a team that intends to use him as a QB. Someone will take a chance by grooming him as a backup or 3rd QB.

I'm so tired of Mel Kiper's analysis and his helmet head haircut. Tebow is a quarterback and was born to be a quarterback. I hope he breaks this whole "system" quarterback controversy in the NFL.

Not impressed with McShay either.

JMB: I think that a spread quarterback who takes most of his snaps from the shotgun isn't going to be taken first again until the NFL starts moving toward the spread. Bradford has a lot of good tools, but his system is an obstacle to him being drafted first. I'm NOT saying that this is the right decision...

Bradford going first isn't that outlandish. It's quite possible he would have been the first overall pick over Stafford had he come out this season. While I think the "best" players on the board are the top-end defensive guys (Berry, McCoy, Mays, Suh, etc.), never underestimate the chances that the team with the top pick will take a franchise quarterback, or trade the pick to a team who is desperate for one. I can pretty much guarantee that Bradford will get picked ahead of Tebow, that's to be certain. Sneed and McCoy are obviously going to be in play as well.

HP,

What do you think about Todd McShay? Sometimes I think McShay sort of offsets Kiper's maniacal lunacy but, othertimes he seems just as bone headed.
