I recently took some grief from Houston fans over not including Cougars quarterback Case Keenum on my preseason Heisman Watch.
Don’t forget that my Heisman Watch is basically a ‘best odds of winning’ list, not a predicted order of finish.
Also, I think it’s worthy to note that Houston itself does not call Keenum a Heisman candidate. I think his own school needs to put its weight behind his candidacy before anyone else can be accused of treating him unfairly.
Looking at the school’s media guide, it merely says “Case Keenum, junior quarterback” on the cover. Shouldn’t he at least be called an All-American candidate?
Whatever the case, the best chance for Keenum to make some Heisman noise will come next year, when he will most likely become the NCAA’s all-time passing yardage leader.Powered by Sidelines
