With the collapse of Jeremiah Masoli and the elimination of LeGarrette Blount as a darkhorse candidate, this will probably shift the lion’s share of voter sentiment out West toward Jahvid Best.
If Best has the kind of season of which he is capable, he’ll have a chance to monopolize his region. Of course, that may not happen if another candidate–Joe McKnight? Matt Barkley?–emerges to draw some votes away. But it’s hard to bet on that happening at this point.
I think that if Best falls out of the race, Colt McCoy –second last year in the Far West–is the most likely beneficiary.
