…has finally been redesigned and updated after years of neglect.

The new site is quite handsome looking, though I would change the tagline from ‘The Most Prestigious Award in College Football’ to ‘The Most Prestigious Award in Sports.’

It’s true.  Most people who follow sports can name the Heisman Trophy winner, but can’t name the NFL, MLB or NHL MVP winners.

  1. In fairness, I think “the most prestigious award in sports” is a bit hyperbolic. It is the most prestigious award in American sports, yes. But worldwide, most people don’t know what the Heisman is, and their experience with college football is when they saw Forrest Gump play for Alabama.

I’d change the tagline to “american sports” or just “football”.

The only well known Heisman winner outside of the US is OJ Simpson, and he is more famous for his court cases and bad acting than football.
The award is not as prestigious as the Ballon D’Or for European Player of the Year in soccer in my opinion.
