Not that he had a chance of winning the Heisman this year, but another candidate has been officially eliminated from the race as Oklahoma State’s Dez Bryant has been ruled ineligible for violating an NCAA bylaw.
Bryant’s exit could have an interesting ripple effect. For one, it would seem to make an OSU upset of Texas a bit more of a longshot, thus helping Colt McCoy’s candidacy. Bryant was pulling 2 points in the last HeismanPundit.com Heisman Poll, so his support (meager as it was) will go elsewhere.
Also, it probably narrows the Biletnikoff Award field to Golden Tate, Eric Decker and A.J. Green.

Any love out there for Demaryius Thomas from GT? The guy is averaging over 100 yards a game playing for a team that runs the ball 80% of the time. The reason for that is he makes the most out of opportunities that come his way and catches everything with his hands. Plus he has great size and speed. I just had to throw his name out there b/c I get tired of seeing A.J. Green on everyone’s Biletnikoff list when he might not be the best receiver in the state.
