If they start awarding the Heisman for best High School player, Case Keenum of Houston Cougar High will be a shoe in. Any team that loses to UTEP should not be in top 25.

Until you have Case Keenum at #1 the entire award is a joke. And those of you voting are making a mockery of yourselves.

Watch Keenum's games or check the stats against Okie State and Tech and compare them to McCoys. No contest. Watch the game at Miss State and compare to Tebow. No contest. Watch the game at Tulsa and compare to Kellen Moore. No contest. Pick any of those players' cupcake games and compare to Keenum against Southern Miss (who had the 24th ranked D in the nation). Booyah. Sorry fellas, pull your heads out...this year THE DARK HORSE RIDES.

Colt is rated WAY TO HIGH for this year. Last year, yes, this year, NO WAY. The best individual stats on Texas this year belong to Jordan Shipley, by far. Voters, PLEASE vote on 2009 stats, not past reputation otherwise you will make a mockery of the award. Bottom line, use common sense, not politics, to judge the winner.

All the folks who are pulling for Keenum. He just put up 5 TDs on Southern Miss...why is that impressive? They have solid wins over 1 decent and 1 mediocre BCS conference oponent. If you want to win the Heisman you should be highly discounted for playing a schedule that includes Northwestern State, UTEP (loss), Tulane, SMU, Southern Miss, Tulsa, UCF, Memphis and Rice. That's a stat stuffer schedule. How many BCS QBs would put up ridiculous numbers with those 9 teams on the schedule? There strength of schedule is terrible (actually, right up there with Boise State and its overly hyped QB).

The most dominate player is keenum by far, Ingram and McCoy behind. Tebow should be out of the race. System quarterback or not Keenum's number are far and beyond anyone! UH is on it's way to be a dominate program. Coach Sumlin is doing a great job! This heisman vote shouldn't even be in question.

Ugh, not a single vote for Mathews? Jacquizz Rodgers has been good this year but he's not really any more impressive than Toby Gerhart and I don't see the Stanford love on here (not saying they deserve it, it's just an equivocation) if you're going to start touting Pac 10 backs. I love Boise State and truly believe they belong in a BCS Bowl but Kellen Moore is not the most impressive player in the world. He's a good QB but let's not get carried away. Watch him and then vote for him, don't just read his numbers and vote for him. Case Keenum, on the other hand, looks better to me every time I see him. I'm drinking the Kool-Aid on that one. I just wish 'Bama would divide the carries more evenly so that the Ingram hype would recede a bit. Ingram is, at best, marginally better than Trent Richardson. Not more talented (he's not) but more disciplined.

Good to see Colt moving his way back up the list. Hopefully he can maintain his recent performances over the remainder of the season and earn this award!

And Ryan Mathews continues to put up good numbers. Heisman or no, he still continues to impress. I pray that his pro career proves just as fruitful as his college one, minus the injuries.
