To tigercpa: I count myself as a thinking SEC fan. Please show me how SEC defenses aren't excellent. Your post didn't exactly show the evidence. When you build that evidence make a robust case that doesn't rely on one or two pieces of evidence. And yes, that evidence should be weighed, at least in part, against the strength of the offenses in the SEC.

The Tebow Trolls are out in full force today. They have taken their crown back from the Case Keenum homers as the most overbearing and obnoxious fanboys on this blog.

Rarely do you find thinking SEC fans, as indicated by the 1st and 3rd posts here.

Gerhart has faced the better rushing defenses, not Ingram. Spiller has also faced better defenses than Infram.

But, don't let facts cloud a good story line, namely, the SEC is the best conference, and has the best defenses. The media has sold this, and that's why Ingram will win. People buy the narrative, regardless of facts.

If you have a pickup game of football in the playground and you have the first pick - who are you going to take - TEBOW!! He does it all and he's a winner in a conference where the best defenses in college football play!! Make no mistake about it - the SEC still has the most physical and fastest athletes on defense - nobody can argue against that!!

Spiller has broken 100 yards exactly four times this year. Ingram has been outrushed by Tebow against three common opponents. McCoy has faced exactly zero top 25 pass defenses. Gerhart is 7-4 and has feasted on poor rush defenses. It's a shame people have written off Tebow (to a degree). Better rating, more YPP, more YPA, higher TD% and lower Int% than McCoy (against 6 Top 25 pass defenses) and more points scored than any of them. This is all while leading Florida to being the 9th best rushing team in America and 11-0 in the SEC.
