You have to give Notre Dame credit. It finally got serious and went out and got the guy that was, really, a no-brainer to lead its program back to glory.
I think it’s a fantastic hire, with the only question mark being whether Kelly can hold up as Irish coach and all that comes with it–the scrutiny, the media attention and the pressure.
The potential is there for Notre Dame to be great again. How will we know the Irish are truly back?
