From the Parts Desk at Agland Electric & Irrigation in Ord, Nebraska:

Just thought that id tell you that you have your head up your ass. Suh is probably going to win the heisman trophy and if he dosnt then he will come in second behind ingram.

Colt mccoy? Are you serious? He finally played a team that had a decent defence and he was thrown around like a rag doll. If nebraska had any defence at all the game would have easily went the other way. Alabama will stomp a mudhole in them.

The real race is between ingram and suh. You dont like suh and you have made that obvious on your web site. Just thought id tell you what others are thinking.

    “Defence”

    Nice.

Great email! What an idiot…..I guess Auburns defense is the best as well. Alabama is a great school but “stomp a mudhole” in Texas, I dont think so brother! We’re fine coming in as the underdog and it will be a tough game decided by a field goal at the end. I just hope Texas kicks the winner again.

    Hook ‘em!

So Texas’ horrible offensive line (only reason he was sacked 9 times, and hit north of 20 times) somehow reflects on Colt McCoy? The writer of that email is an idiot.

The last time Texas went to Pasadena, a team named USC was supposed to stomp a mudhole in us. The same team that ESPN declared the best college football team in history prior to the national championship. We all know how that turned out. Texas does better as the underdog and we will relish a victory all the more considering how many haters (like you) are out there. Dont be sour grapes if Suh doesnt win the Heisman. He will be an NFL star with or without this trophy.

“If nebraska had any defence at all the game would have easily went the other way.”

It seemed to me that “defence” was the only thing Nebraska had going for them. I think you wanted to say offence? but you don’t know proper word usage or how to spell correctly. If you had a real education you wouldn’t live in Nebraska

Most of the comments here are just plain ignorant. Defence and offence are completely fine spellings – get a dictionary, look it up. They’re usually spelled with an “s” instead of a “c” when talking about football because Americans like to change the spelling of words, dropping the “u” out of words like flavour, favourite, or putting z’s in words like specialise, or completely dropping an “i” from aluminium.
So if that’s your main retort to this email, I’m not going to take you seriously.

I agree with most of the emailer’s comments. I’ve liked Suh, along with Golden Tate for most of the season. Toby Gerhart’s Novemeber also got my attention. They’re my top 3 players. I agree that Ingram deserves some votes, but I don’t think he should win it.
Let’s say Auburn hadn’t cocked up on that final drive, and beat ‘Bama. Ingram would have no chance of winning then, despite having no impact on that final drive. Team records play too much of a factor.
    Its an INDIVIDUAL award.

McCoy’s 2009 is one of the most overrated seasons in history. He played awful in his two biggest games – Oklahoma and Nebraska, and the only game where he was the best player on the field was against the mighty A&M.

Suh deserves the Heisman. He was the most outstanding player in college football in 2009. If people voted for McCoy or Tebow and didn’t include Suh on their ballot, they should have their voting privileges removed.
