We just put out our fastest players for 2010 list the other day and now Canes Pundit has its list of the fastest Miami players of all time.
The winner? Devin Hester. I’d have to agree with that one. On the field, he’s one of the fastest players I’ve ever seen.
This is fun stuff, so I’ve decided to put together a roster of fastest all-time players at each school. Feel free to comment below to nominate the fastest player of all-time from your team.

Jahvid Best
DeSean Jackson
Deltha O’Neal
California
Ohio State Buckeyes
Joey Galloway
Ted Ginn Jr.
Cornelious “Neal” Colzie
Honorable Mention – Terrelle Pryor
RJ Don’t forget Brandon Saine. Broke the state record in the 100m and I think won the state title in the 200 as well.
I never saw Hester as being that ‘fast,’ at least in terms of straight line speed. Seems more like a guy that would set a record in a shuttle or 3 cone drill or something. Not trying to take away from him as a player. Doesn’t matter if you’re not the fastest 100 guy if no one can tackle you.
Hester definitely known more for quickness than straight-line “Teddy Ginn-type” speed, but he did clock a 4.28 40yd dash. More than fast enough.
