It wouldn’t look like that. Sorry. If the vote REALLY were held today all these voters (including you and the ones in your poll) would have to think seriously about it and realize that if their vote today REALLY counted they couldn’t vote for a guy from Boise St. based on one performance against a choke artist team like Virginia Tech. They would revert to their bias against small schools and their mediocre schedules and vote one of the big school guys, because deep down they don’t trust that Moore is really the best player in the land.
Don’t blame yourself. The same thing happens in political polls taken 4 months before the election. People don’t take their answers seriously, and the results often don’t reflect what happens on election day when they have to live with the consequences of their votes. Otherwise we might be talking about President Howard Dean or President Hillary Clinton.
If Marshall Faulk couldn’t win (though at least he got close) and Ben Roethlisberger couldn’t even get a sniff though you could convincingly argue they were both the best players in the country in their respective years, then an undersized QB from Idaho certainly wouldn’t win a vote today if the chips were really down. *Cue Ty Detmer response*.
