Based on SOS as you loved to dwell on back in 2004 says Auburn is #1. That’s why the computers love us. The media hates us cause they like to play God and the ultra liberals wanna punish us bad boys. The pac2, yeah two decent teams with Stanford, has 3 let me spell that out fer ya, T H R E E, teams in bowls at this point. Auburn has already defeated at least 7, that’s S E V E N, bowl teams. FIVE are top 25 ranked.
Wisky looks good against nobodies and Arky looks good against everybody. I’d like to see Arky and Wisky in the Sugar Bowl. Wouldn’t mind if Arky and Stanford meet either. So far as my Tigers…we’ll play anyone we have too, and it doesn’t matter who.
For once I agree with your top seven teams but 8-10 don’t belong that should be Okie, Okie St and Sparty. DahOSU should be no higher than 10 due to weak schedule.
I am pretty excited to see the Rose Bowl this year. I think Wisconsin is playing better than anyone right now. I would love to see them against any of the top 4 but especially TCU. Will they be able to manhandle a defense as good as TCUs with some prospective NFL talent and as good a defensive coach as Patterson?
Nevada on the cusp? Of what?
Please . . . they are ranked 112 (of 120) on strength of schedule, and I’m not sure victories over Colorado State (3-9), San Jose State (1-11), New Mexico State (2-10) or UNLV (2-10) are all that impressive.
Are you suggesting that Nevada is better than LSU, which has victories over 6 bowl eligible teams from BCS conferences and whose only losses are to the number 1 and 7 teams?
Literally the only thing that worries me about how the rest of the year plays out is that Auburn has a weak defense for an SEC champion- other than that its basically a forgone conclusion that the SEC wins its 5th straight national title.
AuMan, the only thing sweeter than watching Oregon steamroll Auburn in the title game will be watching Newtown give back the Heisman because he obviously cheated.
And Arkansas is slotted for the Sugar Bowl simply because of their proximity. There are other more qualified teams out there, as hard as that is for an SEC homer to admit.
Max- Who do you think should be playing in the Sugar? I think a lot of people will agree that Arkansas is playing its best ball of the year now. I don’t think that Auburn would want to play the Razorbacks right now. The defense is looking very good the last few weeks and the running game has picked up from the first 6 games. Knile Davis is averageing 148 yards a game in the last 6 games and 6.6 yards a carry. Mallet is still averaging way over 320 plus yards in throwing and the best reciever the hogs have has been out with a seaason ending injury for the last 5 weeks. Arkansas will own any team they play in the Sugar.
