Picking This Week’s Games

I’m finishing the season strong.  I went 8-2 last year to inch closer to the .500 mark.  I am now 62-64-4 on the season.  Hopefully I can get into the black this week.  All spreads courtesy of Docsports.com.

Arizona (-5.5) vs. Arizona State–The Wildcats get the win here thanks to the Nick Foles to Juron Criner connection, which the Sun Devils will be unable to stop.

Arizona 28, ASU 21

West Virginia (-20.5) vs. Rutgers–The Mountaineer defense will stifle the Scarlet Knights and Geno Smith will close out the season strong.

West Virginia 34, Rutgers 9

UCLA (+6.5) vs. USC–Lane Kiffin usually wins when all appears to be lost and he loses when all appears to be going well.  So he wins this one, but doesn’t cover.

USC 24, UCLA 20

Washington State (+6.5) vs. Washington–Jeff Tuel shows that he is one of the best young quarterbacks on one of the worst young teams around.

Washington State 31, Washington 30

Oregon State (-16.5) vs. Oregon–The pressure is on for the Ducks.  This is a rivalry game and I like the Beavers to rise to the occasion and keep it close, but Oregon squeaks it out.

Oregon 35, Oregon State 29

South Carolina (+6) vs. Auburn–I think karma rears its ugly head here and South Carolina sends the BCS into a tizzy by beating the Tigers, thanks to an amazing performance by Alshon Jefferey.

South Carolina 42, Auburn 38

Virginia Tech (-4) vs. Florida State–Nothing is going to stop Tyrod Taylor and the Hokies from closing out the season on a high note.  The Hokies will shut down the Seminoles and win easily.

Virginia Tech 31, Florida State 17

Nebraska (+4.5) vs. Oklahoma–I think this one is going to be an ugly affair, with the Cornhusker defense putting up a valiant effort and the Sooners making mistake after mistake to prevent them from pulling away.  The Sooners win in the end in a close one

Oklahoma 27, Nebraska 24

Cincinnatti (-2) vs. Pitt–The Panthers are reeling and this could be the end of the road for the Wannstache.  Zach Collaros goes off and the Bearcats win.

Cincinnati 28, Pitt 23

Hawaii (-34.5) vs. UNLV–Hawaii finishes one its best seasons in school history with a shellacking of UNLV behind another huge game from Bryant Moniz.

Hawaii 59, UNLV 24
