So, I took a month off and the college football world is still here…and still filled with a whole lot of nothing going on.
Which is why I took the time off in the first place.
It’s not that I couldn’t have chipped in my thoughts on the scandal du jour or the meaningless exercise we call spring practice. I could’ve opined on the most boring event in sports, the NFL draft, as well.
Instead, I chose to sit back and watch…and wait. I felt that if I had nothing to add to the ongoing conversation, it was best to say nothing (for once). But here we are in May and I think it’s time to get things rolling again.
So, with that in mind, there’s a few new developments here at HP and what to expect this week:
—Our Heismanpundette, Stephanie Graves, has already been snatched up by FoxSportsWest.com. We had big plans for her here, but congrats to her on the new gig. In the meantime, we are on the lookout for another Pundette, so feel free to pass along any suggestions.
—Our other intern, David Caple, has completed a series of player pages for the various candidates on our Heisman Watch list. They’ll enable all of us to track the Heisman race a little closer. I’ll unveil those tomorrow.
—I’ll catch us all up on the latest Heisman news, give thoughts on Cam Newton’s future and look at which candidates had the best spring. Since it is May, that also means the preview mags are coming soon, so we’ll start to break down the players a little more closely, too.
Thanks for being patient and I hope you had a great April.
