The Heisman campaign for Baylor quarterback and HP Preseason Heisman Watch member Robert Griffin III has begun.
This past week, the school mailed out autographed playing cards (encased in plastic for preservation purposes) of the junior quarterback, who last year threw for 3,501 yards and 22 touchdowns while rushing for another 635 yards and eight scores.
My verdict: I like the cards. They are an understated, yet classy and effective, way to remind Heisman voters about the talented Griffin before the season begins.
I’m hoping we get to see more of these, with updated stats on the back, as the season progresses.
Here’s a look at both sides of the card:
And here’s a video of Griffin at Big 12 media day:
All in all, a good start to the Griffin Heisman campaign.
