I’m reall not sure how Trent Richardson can honestly be the front-runner. If he wins he will be one of the least deserving winners in the last 20 years.

Please explain to me why Trent Richardson continues to get more votes than Montee Ball.

Richardson is on a National Championship contending team, but like all the “experts” say, Alabama’s success is largely due to their great defense. When you talk about Alabama, the first thing that comes to mind is not an amazing running game.

Montee Ball has been putting up ridiculous numbers all season long, and yesterday he led his team to a Big Ten Championship and a birth in the Rose Bowl. He will undoubtedly break Barry Sanders’ touchdown record in the Rose Bowl game. He has more yards, yards per carry, and significantly more TDs than Richardson as well as a cute little TD pass ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzTmnQNUWfs ).

It looks like a QB will probably take the Heisman this year, but in the debate of Richardson vs. Ball, why are voters giving Richardson the edge?
